Alicante promotes tourism and cultural
The departments of Housing and Urban Image assist in the development of actions to provide the knowledge of the monuments and places of interest to citizens and visitors.
A total of 22 information panels, with a simple sketch and modern, have already been placed for various purposes: to welcome the Old Town, signaling and lists the characteristics of the monuments, warning of the proximity to the elevator at the Castle of Santa Barbara and citing the roads to Benacantil and strength.
Alicante has allocated a budget of 25,000 euros for this new plan.
The set of monoliths, totems and milestones are to be added to the recently installed signs that are common municipal signage program, which provides the location for tourists and informs them about the main features of the unique monuments and sites.
Shower monoliths Old Town have been placed in Plaza San Cristóbal, the confluence of the Calle Mayor - Rambla, Plaza del Ayuntamiento, Plaza Ramiro short walk, tram departure Market - Avda. Alfonso the Wise, Plaza del Mar - Esplanade, elevator access del Castillo, Tram - Raval Roig (Ms Violet Street) and Raval Roig. Totems location of monuments erected in the Basilica of Santa Maria, City Hall, St. Nicholas Cathedral, Convent of the Sisters of the Blood, Ermita de San Roque, chapel of Santa Cruz and Gravina Palace.
Finally, marking milestones in Benacantil and the castle are in: elevator access, access to Mount Benacantil from Raval Roig, access to Mount Benacantil from the Marq Tram, pedestrian access to the Monte Benacantil from Avenue Jaime II, access to Mount Benacantil from Western Wall, the beginning of the access road and Castle Park Ereta from the threshold of the Bridge Plaza.
