Granada (GRX)

It is known as the moorish jewel and it is a city that seduces the senses, as a sexy and curly black hair gypsy girl. It is a city of kings, where the monuments are the legacy of a fascinating history of myths and legends. You can relive here the Moresque atmosphere that flashes in the "Thousand and One Nights", where the mystery of the ancient East coexists with the best of the West and the historical hospitality that Muslims have instilled in its people. The name of the Airport of Granada is Federico García Lorca, the great Spanish poet, but the popular nickname is simply Granada Airport. Located 17 kilometers West of the city and 100 South of Jaen. There is no rail link to the Airport, but a bus service to the City Center is available. There are no hotels within the Airport and not many places to eat and drink. But there is a big shopping store. The Airport offers a central hall where there are three ATMs, a complete first aid room and ramps for disabled people, too.

Taxis

The Airport is located 17 kilometers from the city of Granada and about 106 kilometers from the city of Jaen. The good news is that the Granada Airport taxis are very cheap, as the trip downtown will cost about € 17, Alhambra € 25, near 23 € to Albaicin and to reach the ski station of Sierra Nevada about 63 €. They are easy to spot, since you'll always find a taxi available when you leave the lobby of the Granada Airport to the outside.
